Nicole V. In The City Train Ride Adventures

I wanted to share my love for traveling by train and the wonderful experiences I have had along the way.  Especially over the past two years. The first time I ever took a train ride was back east from NYC to New Jersey in 2009.  

Talk about an adventure.  Lately, I have used www.amtrak.com from point A to B.  It's a whole different vibe compared to flying or driving.  All the train traveler pals I have met and we all agree, the train offers a more behind the scenes experience.  I always feel like I'm on a ride at an amusement park. The sounds of the train have such unique signature, audio, that as a train traveler, warms my heart each and every time. Incomparable views. Dining cars, snack cars.  To the observation car.  Such a different, exciting way to travel by far for me. As opposed to the same old highway roads as per usual.  


But if you're not in any real rush, traveling via train allows you to take in the views from the train's perspective. You'll encounter something new every time.  Let the train take you back to a time when traveling by a train was actually cool.  Plus for some, it was the only way to travel.  I've seen ocean views of the sun setting in gorgeous https://santabarbaraca.com  goat farms, beautiful wine vineyards, or how about the ocean waves crashing onto sands? Traveling by train offers a more elegant way to explore while on vacation and see the places you didn't know you needed to see.

                    Nicole V In The City, San Francisco Style           My second  train ride adventure was just this past Summer in June. I decided to hop on a different train this time and take the Capitol Corridor that goes from Sacramento Valley Station to different stops on the outskirts of San Francisco California.  This specific train will take you as far as San Jose, California.  I went to Emeryville, which was about thirty minutes outside of San Francisco. to visit one of my cousins who lives right in the heart of the "foggy city."  I arrived in Emeryville, on a Friday afternoon after a three hour excursion.  I always have great moments while traveling to my destinations via train. Nicole V In The City - Union Station DTLA To Sacramento California Summer 2023

  My late husband and I had a lot of things in common.  One of my favorites was we had a thing for trains.  He especially loved trains.  I think if he could, he would have had a whole room in our home, dedicated to trains.  I didn't mind this hobby at all.  I even bought him one year  for Christmas  a round train track that went around our small Christmas tree.  I thought it was pretty cute.  Before my husband had passed away, he had told me about this  amtrak.com  train ride that goes from Los Angeles to Seattle.  It was a thirty four hour train ride.  I thought it that would be loads of fun.  I real train ride excursion.   He was not able to take this specific train ride, so for the first birthday I had without him, to celebrate him,  I decided to go on this train ride.  I went from downtown Los Angeles, from  unionstationla.com  to  cityofsacramento.gov/valley-station   I had...
